Authorne is a jewelry practice that advocates for the embodiment of one’s story. Launched in fall of 2023, the brand was founded by contemporary artist Rachel Bu, a Canadian-Chinese visual artist who lives and works in New York City. She transitioned her studio practice to contemporary fine jewelry in 2022, launching Authorne as a platform to continue the development of her wearable sculpture practice while offering the opportunity for bespoke commissions and one-on-one collaboration with her clients as a commemoration of one’s personal story.

On the heels of a successful exhibition and launch last September, the jewelry brand collaborated with the iconic Italian fashion house ETRO on an uptown celebration in honor of Mother’s Day. Authorne and ETRO share synergies in nodding to intergenerational legacy. The event showcased ETRO's first-ever children's line which was complemented by an artful display of new pieces from Authorne’s growing Mother Chain jewelry collection.
